  We eat here a lot, usually to go. And not just because it is less than a block from our loft! I am so happy they brought a branch down Broadway to East Village. I live for their Tom Kha soup and Pad See Ew with fried tofu. They recently added the Pad See Ew to their menu, I used to order their drunken noodles, but both are so delish.
  
  They also have thai tea with boba and whenever I order it to go they wait until I come pick it up to make it fresh. It's so refreshing and yummy, plus the boba is always a good texture which I love since Downtown is severely lacking in good, made the same day boba.
  
  The service is always friendly, nice and quick. If I could give extra stars I would!

  I used eat at 55 Thai's original location in the back of the liquor store in Golden Hill when I lived downtown several years ago (not a hipster flex).
  
  It's great to see them expand into multiple locations. Specifically, this store in East Village is spacious and airy. As with the other locations, service is prompt, prices are very reasonable, and the food is delicious.
  
  One thing I like is the option for two proteins, so on this visit, I opted for Drunken Noodles with Chicken and Tofu. Very tasty and a ridiculous portion. Hit the spot and was a perfect quick lunch before attending a meeting nearby.

  I like this place. Great food and great service. I've been here before to sit in and thought everything about it was great. This time, I ordered to-go through their website and the process was a breeze. I was emailed of when the food would be ready. Pick up was easy, but parking was hard.
  
  The food we ordered were the moo tod, pad see ew and Tom yum. I really enjoyed snacking on the moo tod, nice and crispy. The pad see ew on the other hand, I thought it lacked some flavors but still was pretty good. My wife ordered the Tom yum. I tried it but it was a little too sweet for me. Overall though, I like this place. I've had different dishes from here before and it hasn't disappoint. Will definitely come back when I want cheap priced thai food in downtown.

  Aw man this restaurant was a real treat!  I was surprised by how pleasant our experience was.  Came in not expecting much because when we walked in it was dead yet we waited a while to get seated (the cashier was cleaning in the back).  But our food arrived fairly quickly & the cashier, Mariela, checked up on us to ensure that we liked our meal.
  
  The grub:  Massaman Chicken Curry & Drunken Noodles.  Portions are incredibly generous that we had plenty of leftovers for 2 people.  Also with the current promotion, you get a free tea when you order 2 entrees!
  
  Massaman Chicken Curry lived up to the hype!!!!! The reviews are true, the chicken just falls right off the bone.... tender & tasty.  10/10 would absolutely recommend.  In addition to great food, Mariela was the best, her recommendations & customer service was on point!  She definitely contributed to our delightful experience here.

  My son & I stopped in after a long day at the zoo. Service was great, food was great!  We ordered Spring Rolls, Pad-Thai with chicken, Drunken Noodle with beef, steamed veggies, and two teas with boba.  Everything was extremely fresh and full of flavor. We will definitely come by again! Thank you for the great service & food
